I have always wanted to start a blog; a place where I can write everything down and in a nicely organized way... it took sometime to begin because I was afraid. I'm not sure how many or if anyone is going to read this, but to start out, I will do this for me.
Judgment was the thing that held me back all these years. I have always known that I was not a strong writer; therefore, I was too afraid of putting my work out there on the internet. Even though I hid away from the public eye, I continued to write despite my poor writing skills; I began in a notebook.
I started this notebook at the beginning of middle school, this one of the small items that I greatly treasure because it holds all my memories whether it is sad, happy, confused, or angered feelings. I will probably mention this notebook countless times within this blog. My journal was my lifesaver, and I would much recommend keeping a journal with you too, to write everything and anything life throws at you. (My notebook is my journal. I used the Five Star brand notebook as my journal because my tiny little diary couldn't keep us with the amount of ranting I was doing on paper :))
For me, writing in my journal was very therapeutic; I used it to vent and release stress. As a somewhat shy person, I didn't really talk to friends about my worries or stressful situations because I didn't want to burden them with my sadness. A person can only take so much until the constant concern begins to affect their daily life. I occasionally write whenever I am sad, and that feeling is always the strongest.
As the emotions begin to rise, and you can't find a soul to aid you, just start writing. Write everything down. Don't worry about grammar, don't worry about spelling, and don't worry if your writing isn't pretty. Just let all your stress and emotion flow from your brain through your pen and onto the paper. Write till you have nothing else to say, use as many pages as you need and after the tears have fallen and your hand is tired, you will feel a sense of relief. It would feel as if your brain has cleared up and some weight has lifted off your shoulders. Try it and let me know how it made you feel. It works for me all the time, and I hope it does the same for you too. But don't stop there... sad, anger, and frustration aren't the only emotions that us humans have.
We also have love, compassion, appreciation, hopes, dreams, and gratitude!
When you feel a happy, bubbly feeling inside, feel free to write it down! Write down a fake letter that you may or may not send to that person. This journal is yours and no one's eyes, but yours can lay upon your writing unless YOU want them too. The best a part of keeping a journal is
Writing can practically stop time, like a picture. If you do a great job describing your feelings and emotions on paper (while making it legible), when you come back to read it, you can feel the pleasant warm memories flowing back in. You're practically reliving that memory. IT'S AMAZING! But be warned, this is also the case of bad and angered memories, so after writing your journal entry, I would strongly suggest to color code or add a mini symbol on the top of the page somewhere which indicates what you were writing about. I have made the mistake of not doing that and going back to re-reading bad memories of my journal. After re-reading countless bad memories, it made me wonder why I haven't burned the notebook yet. (hehe I didn't because it knew it was also filled with happy memories and life lessons written to myself). An example journal may look something like this.

1. No one else but you can read it
2. It is a stress reliever
3. You can write in it WHENEVER you want. Just keep it in a place you'll remember
4. (My personal favorite) You can re-read it
Well, that's the end of my first blog post! I hope you enjoyed it. Now go get yourself a journal/ notebook to record everything and anything. I am also a human experiencing through life and so if you have any questions, don't be afraid to leave questions or comments about your experiences! I will do my best to reply :) Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day.
